| The only problem is a tendancy of the filter to become moldy, but this is easily remedied by adding 1/16 Cup or so of ammonia to each of 2 reservoirs that you fill with water. This will ward off the mold. Buy extra filters. This machine is very quiet relative to the amount of humidity that it puts out (hence the filter enclosure is correspondingly more humid, and tends toward mold more easily). |

| This unit is quiet and definately does its job for being so portable. Absolutely better then the one we have in the furnace. Easy to maintain and clean. I would definately recomend this to anyone in the market |

| The machine works very well. You can set the desired humidity level and the machine will turn on/off to maintain that level. It works very nicely with today's forced air systems and thermostats that measure the humidity level. The correct humidity in the air makes for a very comfortable heat in your house. |

| As an exercise in design, this is a rare product. It is simple and simply wonderful. It has a strange 'Jetson' asthetic that grows on you over time, and the functionality is near perfect. Purchase an extra filter or two and keep it clean or it will carry odors. |

| I first bought a QuietCare for a small server room that was suffering from low humidity. It was able to keep the humidity around 30% and needed refilling only twice a week, even in the low humidity months of Winter. It worked so well that I bought one for my house. It's quiet enough that I was able to place it in our main living space, and the sound is noticeable only when the house is quiet and I'm near the unit. I've just put our home humidifier away for the season, and I found it was surprisingly easy to clean and dry. I would recommend this product for anyone who needs a medium to large humidifier. |
